I worked with the Genetic Literacy Project (GLP) to visualize the network of anti-GMO advocacy funding groups worldwide.
Typically, many people think of the biotechnology industry as a “Goliath” against small organic and anti-GMO advocacy groups. But, anti-GMO and anti-biotechnology advocacy has become big business. I collaborated with the founder of the GLP and a web developer to visualize the dataset from Bonus Eventus. This visualization helps scientists, politicians, regulators, and others understand how anti-biotechnology advocacy influences businesses and national regulations.
